About the event

Mark Alciati and Sherie Davis are musical as well as life partners. They started performing together shortly after meeting at Summersongs Songwriting Camp in Arroyo Grande, Ca. Based in Santa Barbra, the duo can be found playing at wineries, brew pubs, art shows and house concerts music festivals along the Central and Southern Coast.

Releasing her first album, My Heart Returns To Me, in 2021, singer-songwriter, Sherie Davis, has created a substantial work of uplifting, heartening, and inspiring songs that explore life’s deepest questions. Sherie is known for her soaring melodies that range from angelic high notes that dip down to satisfyingly earthy low tones. In addition to her solid rhythm guitar playing and catchy riffs, her flute playing supports her vocals with an other-worldly purity. Sherie’s socially conscious lyrics explore thought provoking topics such as life after death, hard life lessons, and living in our challenging world of unprecedented events. Her music has been described simply as light-filled folk rock for a hardened world.

Mark Alciati’s original songs range from tear-jerker ballads that tug at the heart strings to socially conscious and political songs to laugh out funny songs about the absurdities of life. Whether he is singing about lost or found love, being pulled over for another traffic violation, or the “True Story” of Godzilla, Mark’s songs are very memorable. His style is heavily influenced by the blues, Jazz, Americana and Pop songs for the 1960 and 70’s. Vocally, Mark is able to match the demands of each of those styles. He backs his own and Sherie’s songs on acoustic and electric guitars as well as mandolin and dobro.

Their warm lively stage presence provides a delightful, fun, heart-felt experience that leaves their audiences with a smile. Their well-crafted songs may make you laugh, cry or even consider a new perspective. With a vast repertoire of original songs they weave a diverse and beautiful of tapestry music in each set.
