Rev. Betsy A. Haas, MA, CLC

Betsy Haas is a veteran business professional with over 40 years’ experience of a solid, heart-centered focus in strategic transformation, visioning, goal setting, group facilitation, training, leadership development, and motivational speaking both in person and webinars, that has enabled her to partner with a wide variety of organizations from corporate, to non-profit to government. Betsy customizes her approach and practical solutions for empowering individuals, teams and organizations that meet business criteria and fulfill the human needs of the workforce. She is a Certified Life Coach through both the Living Purpose Institute and Martha Beck’s Wayfinder Life Coaching. She is also certified as a Mind in the Making (MITM) trainer. Betsy received her ministerial ordination from Religious Science International in 2011.

She is an in-demand speaker and is known for her “Positive Quote of the Day” column which ran for 10 years. She also does “Positive Life Leadership Motivational Boot Camp” Webinars. Her Train-the-Trainer programs for industry specific groups, has resulted in trainers highly capable of training in-house employees. Betsy’s “Emergent Leadership Practices Institute” has won accolades throughout California and nationally. She is a sought-after coach for performance challenged employees for many of the entertainment studios, schools, Head Start and non-profits as well as individual executives and people ready to grow into their visions.

EarthSpirit Cassandra hails from the woods of the upper midwest, having woodshedded in bands and acoustic assembles in the heart of Wisconsin which included playing the main stage at the Minnesota Old time Music and Bluegrass Festival.

Also led a jugband in Minnesota to win the annual Minneapolis Jug Band competition (and coveted waffle iron trophy)

Nowadays it's all about spirit and singing in the Agape choir, along with performing regularly as a backing vocalist (and sometimes featured vocalist) at Center for Spiritual Living Simi Valley.

Being a part of a musical ministry as a means of strenthening community connection is her focus while deepening a more personal communion with Spirit through song and prayer.

Cassandra also is an Executive Director of a small non profit in Rwanda called Jessie's Place Rwanda, which provides a variety of supportive services for single mothers and their children.

Born in Albuquerque, NM and equipped with a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Colorado State University in Child Development and Family Relationships, Betsy pursued her dream and moved to Southern California. She obtained her Master’s Degree at Pacific Oaks College. Her focus was in Human Development with concentrations in Administration and Adult Learning. While she attended graduate school Betsy worked with Head Start in Hollywood then moved to Orange County, CA where she became the Assistant Director for Orange County Department of Education’s Child Development Programs. Her career expanded into sales where at Child Craft Education Corp, a division of the Walt Disney Company, she piloted the first region. After six years, Betsy traveled back to her home state of New Mexico to become the Bureau Chief of Children and Families. In 1987 she founded Esteemed Human Development International, which delivers high impact motivational programs with the focus on the “human being” in the workplace and community.

Betsy was named Business Woman of the Year by the Business Alliance of Los Angeles. Betsy is a national and international motivational speaker, keynote speaker, business consultant, educator, life coach, minister, co-author and author. In the board room, classroom, or a TV studio she uses her experience with Disney, government and entrepreneur to create change, produce affirming cultures and empower individuals to achieve results. She is amazing with webinars.

Betsy currently resides in Southern California, where she loves to ride her Vespa, garden, work out, volunteer with the homeless, meditate and play with her dog Maddi. A new Maddi’s PawCastwebsite, a place for encouragement and motivation by an innocent fur baby, will be unveiled soon.

Facilitating the professional growth and development of the people one supervises is the main goal of supervisors. Leaders can develop expertise in this often-overlooked dimension of leadership. It calls to use different strategies and tactics to meet the various needs of people at different stages of their careers and different performance levels in specific areas. It is important to note that supervision and coaching are collaborative processes. The highest performers are those that find the motivation and enthusiasm coming from within.
